Eligibility Criteria: 1. Be a junior or senior enrolled full time in the teacher education certification program at Youngstown State University. 2. Have at least a 3.0 grade point average. 3. Complete FAFSA. 4. Submit an unofficial transcript from YSU. 5. Be available for a possible interview. 6. Be a graduate of a secondary school in Mahoning County. 7. Submit two letters of recommendation from either instructors at YSU or teachers under whom you completed your in-field experience. 8. Submit a short essay of approximately 100 words stating your philosophy of education and reasons for choosing teaching as your profession.
