Revision of Standing Rules 2023

Associations usually find it necessary to have standing rules for basic administrative procedure.
Standing rules should be consistent with the association's By-law's and are developed on an "as
needed basis. The association's board of Directors authorizes and makes changes in standing rules.
The following Standing Rules are being revised or eliminated. The entire list can be found on the MRTA website.

9. The Secretary will record attendance at Board meetings. The Hospitality Chair will record attendance at general meetings.

10. The cut-off day for payment of dues will be June 30 of the present year. Dues are due
between January 1 and December 31 of the fiscal year. After August 31 of the fiscal year, unpaid memberships will be terminated.

13. All outgoing and incoming officers and committee chairs shuld meet together after the
election for smooth transition and transfer of materials. All Manuals to be signed in and out
will be the responsibility of the President.

19. The Budget and Finance committee Chair should communicate with committee chairs
as to financial needs tn setting up the budget.

The Remembrance Committee Chair will conduct the Memorial Service and prepare a list of
the deceased members and obituaries for the Historian. A copy of the list of deceased members
only shall also be sent to the main branch of the Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning
County to be developed into a name plate for the selected In-Memoriam Book.

30. Each May the In-Memoriam book, underwritten by the John M. Knapick Family, will be
named and reviewed in the May newsletter and presented at the Memorial Service.
